Gregular was born when the four of us realized that we didn’t have anything to do over the summer and wanted to play chill music together. After very slight organization, Jon Mathias, Hunter Hanson, Tristan Arostegui, and Charles Kieser agreed to meet up in San Francisco for a week and recorded some original tracks. Jon and Hunter drove across the country from Tennessee to Wisconsin to California with all of their instruments and recording gear and set up camp in Charles’ garage which became the studio.

Gregular’s sound is eclectic. Each musician has a very different stylistic background and it is at the intersections of these genres that their music shines. Why are we called Gregular? Who is Greg? We are. We are all Greg. The point of Gregular is that everyone in the band loses themselves and becomes Greg. Regular showcases the many sounds and combinations of the group on each track. Be Greg with us.
